I've found myself thinking a lot lately about "doing" versus "being."
I recharge by "doing." Whether it's an urban photo hike, dinner and a concert, or an impromptu cocktail party at home, I top off my energy meter with the electric buzz of connecting with people.
My solitary moments come, usually, from a need to decompress... to run DOWN the batteries in order that they may better hold the next charge.
I know that other people recharge by "being." A quiet afternoon reading, watching a movie, or a solitary beach walk serve them the same purpose as those social moments do for me. So, do their social moments serve the opposite purpose, too?
I'm genuinely curious about this, and would love to hear how you reset and recharge your emotional batteries.
